Today my husband took me to the cinema to see Monsters University. Monsters Inc. was always my favourite animated movie growing up so I was super excited to see the sequel in the cinema! As it is a family movie, I wanted to feel comfortable so I could just relax and enjoy the whole movie. Monsters Inc. always makes me so happy inside, reminding me of the good old days haha, makes me sound old!
The weather has been a bit odd here in N/W England lately. It has been really hot but has also been raining quite a bit the past few days. As I did not know what to expect, I decided to cheat a little but wearing my Vero Moda "Cold Shoulder" sweatshirt. I absolutely love this top as it is a light material but also is great to keep warm in. It also has cut out shoulders which feels so good in this heat! I paired this with some plain straight legged jeans and my white bow sandals.
For this post I did not want to focus on the outfit as it is very casual. I thought that showing my hair and makeup may be a little more exciting. I went for a natural look but applied some eye shadow to give a little more dimension.
To the makeup:
Face: Benefit Boi ing Concealer applied to the under eye area, Chanel Bronze Universel applied to temples and cheek bones (applied under foundation), Revlon Colorstay Foundation stippled and blended using the Eco Tools Bamboo Buffing Brush, No7 Perfect Light Translucent Powder applied to the t-zone and Clinique's Blush in "Innocent Peach" applied to the apples of the cheeks and blended up and out.
Eyes: Chanel Sequoia palette using the peach shimmer shade on the lid and the brown shade in the crease, Chanel Waterproof Eyeliner smudged into the lash line, Lancome Precious Cells Mascara and Calvin Klein Eyebrow Duo
Lips: For the lips I applied Rimmel's lipstick in "Birthday Suit" with a little Chanel "Amour" lip gloss applied on top.
For my hair I decided to just pull it back into a pony tail, I then chose to do a fishtail braid just to give the look a little something extra. Voila! There you have my casual Tuesday look. Simple and easy, I hope you enjoyed!
