Caudalié Micellar Cleansing Water

Micellar waters have been a firm favourite amongst the beauty industry as of late. They are a must have for any beauty obsessed individual in need of a quick cleansing fix! This break through cleanser promises to remove all traces of make-up, dirt and impurities all in a few quick swipes from a cotton pad. Although, some may only of heard about micellar waters recently, this beauty cleanser has been used and favoured by French women for many years. As well as Caudalié, another well known French brand, "Lancôme" also have their very own micellar water!

I have been testing the Caudalié cleanser for at least 6 months now, on and off. I have never been a great fan of using facial wipes or cleansers as I'd prefer to use a deeper cleansing facial wash. Many times, I have broken out in spots after trying any type of facial wipe or cleanser. This definitely made me very wary of trying any more. After testing a lot of other Caudalié products, I had absolutely fallen in love with the brand. My skin seems to react very well to all ingredients used in all of the skin care items so I decided to take a risk and try the micellar water.

To use this cleanser, I apply a few drops to a small cotton pad and begin to cleanse off my makeup. I have never had anything work so fast, it's quite impressive! I often use three cotton pads, one for each side of my face and the last one to make sure every trace of makeup has been removed. This cleanser works great for removing non-waterproof mascara, I, on the other hand, prefer to remove my eye makeup using my daily face wash as it's quicker and less messy.

This cleanser can be used alone, without having to rinse your face afterwards. I have done this many times but am not too keen on the feel of my skin afterwards. It does not irritate the skin in any way, it just feels as though you have a layer of something on top of the skin which makes me want to skip the step of applying my moisturiser. I feel as though this "layer" may be there to moisturise the face anyway as my skin does feel lovely the next morning.

Looking at this micellar water over all, I am very impressed with how it works. As you can see in the images below, it looks as though I have barely used this product, yet, I have used it many times! You get 200ml of product for £15 which is a great deal in my eyes. Caudalié is a very respected skin care brand which has continued to impress me since my first time of trying their products. I would highly recommend this cleanser as well as my other favorite Caudalié product, the " Caudalié Beauty Elixir" which I have previously reviewed.

If you have any Caudalié products to recommend, please leave a comment below!
