I was a very lucky bunny this year to be invited to my first ever Liverpool Fashion Week. Living in such a small town, having the opportunity to visit my local city for something I am truly passionate about is such a pleasure! Having recently been in London for LFW, my expectations were, of course, very high.
My press pass soon arrived in the post, I was so excited! Unfortunately I did not get to attend most nights as previously planned but the shows I was able to attend were so much fun. I also manged a good few networking sessions which is always a plus! The event was held in Liverpool's Liver Building which is located right along the River Mersey. With it being such a beautifully large looking building, I thought that the suites hired for Lambrini Liverpool Fashion Week would be quite large. They were in fact a lot smaller but definitely spacious enough to hold all attendees comfortably.
On the first floor sat both local and national businesses ranging from fashion and jewellery stands to make-up and nutrition. I met so many lovely business owners during my time at LLFW. I especially loved a couple of jewellery stands (Calidad Creations and Belles Bejewelled) as well as the Eve Makeup & Cosmetics stand from where I purchased my first ever "cream to powder" foundation! I also had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Bernie Singleton. Bernie is a Cancer Research UK volunteer and fundraiser who is also battling with cancer. She is such a down to earth lady who really made me smile, let's also make her smile by visiting the Cancer Research UK website and donating as much or little as possible.
Now to the fashion! Designs were showcased from many upcoming talents. All of whom were extremely creative and very gifted indeed! There were many moments where I would get lost in the beauty of the designs that I would forget to take a picture! Each night, multiple designers would showcase between the hours of around 7:00pm-9:00pm. Each show ended with a short interval before the next which extended the longevity of the evening. This is where the stalls on the first floor came in useful, I loved that it was like having extra entertainment on top of the very talented musical acts performing each night!
If like me, you are obsessed with fashion, Liverpool Fashion Week is for you! With it's growing success and national press coverage. Liverpool Fashion Week continues to grow and blossom. Make sure that you keep an eye out for the next shows tickets, you never know, we could bump into each other!
