During my trip to Sri Lanka, in June, I came across the most beautiful store called Charles and Keith. I had never had the pleasure of browsing this brand's collection before but during my visit, absolutely fell in love... Not only do they sell the most beautiful shoes ever, the brand also offer a gorgeous selection of quality handbags and accessories which include sunglasses and jewellery.
At first glance, all Charles and Keith items look extremely high end. I immediately assumed that the handbags would all be in, or close to, the mid hundreds. However, I was happily surprised to see that the most amazing handbag/clutch (in my most favourite colour - pale pink) was only in the £50s!
Of course, it didn't take much for my husband to talk me into buying it (I am quite the ponderer when it comes to making purchases for myself) and I could not be happier!
The shape of this bag is very unique to me. A beautifully structured hexagon shape makes this a stand out piece! It is very minimalistic yet eye-catching which is what I adore in a bag and love the versatility of being able to use this as a day bag as well as an evening clutch!
My Charles and Keith Hexagon Sling Bag is made from bi-cast leather (PU) in the colour "pink" with matte black metal hardware and two magnetic closures to the top. It features a black heat-stamped Charles and Keith brand to the front of the bag as well as a clear heat stamped brand on the inside. There is one outer slip pocket which is on the back of the bag as well as one internal zip pocket, again featuring the matte black hardware, and one internal slip pocket. The small strap across the front of the bag, stamped with the brands name, is a brilliant feature for when you want to remove the larger strap and carry this as a clutch, slipping your band through the front for a more secure hold.
To give you a rough idea of how much this bag can hold, I will detail my usual contents:
- A small wallet
- A large sized Tangle Teezer
- A compact digital camera
- Lip balm and lipstick
I typically have my iPhone in my hand but if needed, I could squeeze this in also so the bag does actually fit quite a bit considering it's structure. Also, how beautiful is that stitching?!
