If you were to ask me what my favourite food is, Thai cuisine would most certainly top my list! I love a good Thai green curry and appreciate how every dish packs a good punch when it comes to flavour and spice levels (we like it hot!) So, of course, I was more than delighted to be invited along to the launch of Busaba Eathai in Liverpool. It's great to see new restaurants opening up in my city and to top it off, the food was absolutely incredible!
This time, my +1 was my gorgeous husband.
On arrival, we were greeted by a lovely red carpeted entrance, press photographs and Jasmine Margaritas! I always feel well looked after at VIP or press events but this one felt a little more special... Even my husband commented on this, thank you Busaba!
We then had the absolute pleasure of meeting the nicest waiter who swiftly bought over more drinks and took our food orders.
This is what we ate:
Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce
Soft Shell Crab with garlic Pepper Sauce, Chili, Spring Onions and Oyster Sauce
Red Chili Beef Fillet Stir-Fried with Garlic, Chili, Spring Onion and Jasmine Rice
Steamed Whole Sea Bass with Chili, Coriander, Basil, Lime and Jasmine Rice
Chocolate Fondant with Coconut Ice Cream and Chocolate Sauce
I can't explain how beautiful each and every dish was. I am very impressed and cannot wait to go back for more! Not only was the food delicious (my hubby says that the spices were "spot on"), the service was faultless and we had a fantastic night. After the meal we did a little mingling with fellow bloggers and press members. We even got to take photographs in a cute little tuk tuk style photo booth as well as testing more drinks from the restaurants fabulous drinks menu!
I want to give huge thanks to Busaba for hosting such a fantastic event and for looking after us so well. I can't recommend this restaurant enough and hope that you too will go and experience the lovely atmosphere and food for yourself. Don't forget to let me know what you think!
