What have you been up to this Easter? Instead of pigging out on chocolate, myself and the hubby decided to just get outside and enjoy our freedom. That was not until we had eaten a healthy breakfast first, of course!
If you have yet to shop at Aldi, I highly recommend giving it a go. It is a great supermarket for finding pretty much everything you need at a much more affordable price and who doesn't like to save a little extra cash these days?
Shopping is a busy task and uses up a lot of energy. It is very tiring to walk around for hours looking at pretty things, you know! To start the day right and boost those energy levels, I highly recommend a nice natural yogurt layered with delicious fruits. Not only is it very tasty, it's also a great healthy meal giving you that boost you need to start the day.
Ingredients:
Blueberries
Rasberries
Chopped Mango
Low Fat Natural Yogurt
Croissants
Purely Squeezed Juice
Simply add the yoghurt to the bowl, sprinkle with fruit and serve... Voila!
Now I know that croissants aren't the healthiest option BUT if you are preparing for busy day, they are the perfect little treat. Nom!
Shopping Time
For our shopping trip, we decided to head over to Liverpool for a spot of museum browsing and shopping. We actually ended up doing this from lunch time until around 8pm so it certainly was a good shopping sesh!
We found some fantastic stores on Bold Street which I absolutely fell in love with... I especially love the store called Mi Vida. This amazing little shop stocks beautiful flowers and homeware which we just could not stop looking at. We ended up leaving with just two pieces but definitely plan on going back soon. We chose this cute little picture for our kitchen and of course, this incredible book "Coco Chanel The Illustrated World of a Fashion Icon" by Megan Hess.
Another great store on Bold Street is Resurrection. Resurrection stocks a lot of restored vintage pieces and I really enjoyed browsing their large selection! I ended up choosing two tartan style shirts. One which is very oversized (the deep red shirt that I am wearing below) and will make a great layering piece or even a a cute shirt dress when cinched in at the waist with a belt. The other shirt is more of a burnt orange/red colour and is just an average length which I absolutely adore!
I would have to say that Bold Street was a huge success for me as after here, I only made two more purchases which included these beautiful pointed ankle boots from Deichmann, who, may I add, always please me when it comes to affordable high quality shoes. They will also pair very nicely with my new shirts! We also popped into Lush and picked up 3 products (The hubby has already pinched one hence no photograph!); The Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb, Sultana of Soap and The Rockstar Soap (not pictured below).
